Just 20 years ago, Ethiopia suffered from the ravages of famine and brutal conflicts, resulting in hundreds of thousands of children becoming orphans. Now, the prevalence of AIDS and AIDS virus and extreme poverty mean that many children, the youngest generation in the family, are being abandoned and have to live independently and take care of themselves.
